Hey Penny Golf friends,

We've been quiet lately, but for good reason – we've been creating something special for you.

A confession from the tee box: When I first started golfing, my high handicap felt like a scarlet letter. I'd watch my drives hook into the trees and feel those sidelong glances (that probably weren't even there). I declined invitations to play new courses, fearing I wasn't "good enough yet." The scorecard became my enemy.

I eventually learned that my golf journey wasn't about immediate mastery, but about embracing the process. Those same friends who I thought were judging me were actually cheering for every small improvement, every brave attempt at a difficult shot, every moment I prioritized fun over form.

Fast forward to this spring.

Designing our latest piece has pushed us to stretch in completely new ways. And somewhere in that stretch, the old perfectionist tide rolled in again, quiet but powerful.

We kept saying, "We're about to launch our new polo." We'd revise the shape. Then revise it again. We kept postponing our launch, tweaking colors, adjusting measurements – always finding one more thing to fix before we deemed it "ready."

Then came our wake-up call. Tariffs were coming, forcing us to look at each other and ask "Aren't we building Penny Golf precisely to challenge the idea that you need to be perfect to enjoy this sport?"

The Design Story: Making the Polo We Always Wanted

I've always gravitated toward high-waisted trousers (leg-lengthening magic!) so we intentionally designed a slightly cropped length that sits perfectly with higher waistbands. No more constant tucking and re-tucking after every swing.

That boxy, relaxed fit? It's because I hate feeling restricted during my backswing. We created room to move, breathe, and yes – take that slightly wild swing without busting seams. Freedom to play how you want.

Let's talk sleeves – I extended them just enough to hit that sweet spot on your arms. Not because you need to hide anything, but because there's something so confidently classic about a sleeve that actually covers your bicep. It's a small detail that makes a big difference in how the polo feels when you wear it.

And we've all seen them – those garish logos plastered across chests, those bizarre patterns that look like a geometry test gone wrong. Not here. We kept it clean, timeless, with just enough detail to let you know it's special.

Speaking of details – Instead of that plasticky printed stuff that cracks and peels after three washes. We wanted to bring some old school charm, so we did poppy embroidery for real staying power.

Last but definitely not least – the fabric. I have a visceral memory of that "mildewy sports top smell" that lingers in polyester no matter how many times you wash it. So we chose 100% BCI-certified cotton that breathes with you, moves with you, and never develops that funky synthetic odor. Your playing partners will thank us.

So today, we proudly present our new Penny Golf Polos in two colors: Sunday Blue and Sand Trap White!

This polo is our philosophy stitched into fabric. Golf's greatest moments happen when we're having fun, not when we're obsessing over perfection. We couldn't be more proud.
